Profile

The Revd William Law was in the Harrow XI between 1868 and 1870 and was in the Oxford XI for four years from 1871, being captain in his last year. He played four times for Yorkshire but he had little time for sport once he had entered the church. He was a vicar in Yorkshire and London before dying of pleurisy aged 41. A pavilion was erected in his memory at Harrow School in 1893.
