Dr Percy Northcote played occasionally for Middlesex in 1888 and for Kent in 1889 and 1895. He was a prominent member of the Beckenham Club. A good free right-handed batsman, he bowled slow left-arm. In 1894, against the first South African team to visit England, he made 42 not out and took 12 for 81 for Chatham and District.
