Brother of Derbyshire opening batsman Adrian, Robert Rollins was a wicketkeeper-batsman for Essex between 1993 and 1999. He was regular in the England Under-19 set-up, making 14 'Test' appearances, and reached England A level without being able to push on. A batting average of 22 wasn't as low as it appeared at a time when wicketkeepers weren't expected to score such a volume of runs, but he didn't fulfil his talent.
