Profile

A right-arm medium pacer and lower-order bat, Ed Jones was nurtured by Staffordshire's youth teams, playing for their Under-13 and Under-15 sides before making his senior debut against Suffolk in the MCCA Trophy in 2007. He found his way, briefly, into Derbyshire's second XI later that season and after further development in Staffordshire's Under-17 side his appearances for the county second XI were more frequent from 2008, but a first XI spot has so far eluded him.
Liam Brickhill June 2010
