Following a stint on the Minor County circuit in 2007, he was appointed to the ECB's reserve list in 2008, and took charge of Surrey's season curtain-raiser against Loughborough UCCE at The Oval in April, before overseeing New Zealand's rain-affected draw against Kent at Canterbury.
