Rabinranath - Robin, more popularly - Mukherjee was an opener for Bengal who played 60 first-class games. In that span he scored 2984 runs at 33.52 with five centuries, his best being 183. Mukherjee also served as a selector for Bengal and later as chief curator for East Zone. He died in March 2009 aged 65.
