Sangeetha Kamat is one of the many utility cricketers in women's cricket. What she also is, is one of the best fielders around. Known in women's cricket circles as Sangeetha 'Jonty' Kamat, she patrols the cover region with speed and agaility. Batting in the middle order, Sangeetha has a clear bias to the onside. When under pressure, she often attempts toi hit herself out of trouble by swinging the ball throughy the on side. Playing across the line has been her downfall on more than one occasion. Bowling medium pacers at what can only be described as slow medium, Sangeetha had tremendous success in the CricInfo Rani Jhansi Trophy. Sangeetha topped the wicket takers list picking 9 wickets in the series at an average of 11.55. In conditions where there is some assistance for seamers, Sangeetha could be a very useful bowling all rounder.
