July 21, 2001
Havant opener Andrew Perry and BAT Sports left-arm pace bowler Dan Goldstraw won the June 2001 Southern Electric Cricketer of the Month awards.
Perry was the month's leading Premier Division 1 run getter, cracking two centuries and three scores of 50 or more, piling up an aggregate 421 runs in the five-match month.
Goldstraw's 12 wickets, which included a 5-42 return, helped push BAT right into the championship frame.
Portsmouth's Stephen Cook took the Division 2 batting prize, with 305 runs, while Daniel Peacock gets the bowling award after ten wickets in the month for Lymington.
Hard hitting Hook & Newnham Basics opener Keith Lovelock's 278 runs earned the Division 3 batting niche, with Gosport's Nathan Collins taking the bowling award after a 16-wicket haul.
