Robert Croft and Chaminda Vaas have been severely reprimanded following their collision in the closing stages of the day-night international at the Premadasa Stadium yesterday.

Croft was attempting to complete a quick single and ran into the bowler, Vaas, who stood his ground after completing his follow through. The pair then became involved in a heated exchange.

Hanumant Singh, the ICC match referee, studied television replays and spoke to the players involved before issuing them both with reprimands.
