As opposed to the other match on the day, the Pakistan Blind-Sri Lanka Blind game at the CPT-India Pistons Ground in India was a relatively low-scoring affair, won by a slim margin of 19 runs by Pakistan.
After KNGC Kumara took three wickets to help dismiss Pakistan Blind for only 224 in 34 overs, it looked as if Sri Lanka had the upper hand. Opener Sulman Elahi (52, 36b, 1x4) was the only batsman to cross the fifty-run mark, Amir Ishfaq and Muhammad Nawas chipping in with thirties to guide Pakistan past the 200-run milestone.
Tight bowling from Pakistan, however, enabled Pakistan to defend even that moderate total. Apart from RPS Rajapakshe, who made 44 off 59 balls, few others could stay at the crease long enough to notch up a significant score. Wickets tumbled at regular intervals, and Sri Lanka were finally bowled out for 205 in 37.5 overs.
For Pakistan, Amir Ishfaq and Ali Gohar took two wickets each, while Abdul Razzaq, Sulman Elahi and Muhammad Nawas scalped one each.
