MELBOURNE - The Australian Cricket Board said the MCG's future as a one-day cricket venue was in jeopardy because of crowd trouble.
ACB chief executive James Sutherland said the MCG was now rated among the worst three grounds in the world for crowd trouble.
The ACB, police and the Melbourne Cricket Club have urged fans to behave themselves at Sunday's match between Australia and England.
Tough security measures include an increased police presence, thorough bag searches and more dry areas.
