Canterbury Cricket playing contracts offered

The Canterbury Cricket Association announced the 11 players who have been offered playing contracts for the 2003-04 cricket season

The Canterbury Cricket Association announced the 11 players who have been offered playing contracts for the 2003-04 cricket season.
The 11 players named are those selected under the ranking system that has been agreed upon by the New Zealand Cricket Players' Association, New Zealand Cricket and the six Major Associations, this being the second season it has been used.
2003-04 Canterbury Cricket playing contracts have been offered to:
Neil Broom
Wade Cornelius
Stephen Cunis
Andrew Ellis
Peter Fulton
Chris Martin
Michael Papps
Aaron Redmond
Gary Stead
Shanan Stewart
Warren Wisneski
Three players who were contracted last season have not been offered contracts for 2003-04.
Of those three players Paul Wiseman is now an NZC contracted player, Robbie Frew was not ranked in the top 11 and Carl Anderson was unavailable due to commitments overseas.
