Top two teams meet in ninth round of State Championship

The State Championship's top placed teams meet at the Basin Reserve in Wellington tomorrow when last year's winners, the State Auckland Aces (32 points), play the State Wellington Firebirds (31 points) in the ninth round of the 10-round competition.

In other matches the State Northern Knights (14 points) play the State Central Districts Stags (14 points) at Westpac Park in Hamilton and the State Canterbury Wizards (10 points) play the State Otago Volts (14 points) at the Village Green in Christchurch.

With six points for a win, competition remains tight for third place while the final two rounds will determine whether the State Auckland Aces or the State Wellington Firebirds win this year's State Championship.

The final round of the State Championship begins on March 17.
