The case filed by PWCCA against PCB to desist from interfering in the affairs of women's cricket in Pakistan and on which restraining orders have been passed by the Senior Civil Judge, Lahore, against PCB on April 22, came up for hearing today in his Court. However, the hearing has been postponed to a later date, thereby maintaining the restraining order against the PCB till then.

According to the reports appearing in newspapers of 6th May, 2003, PCB, in a rather belated compliance of the court's restraining order dated April 22nd, 2003, has declared that it is stopping interference in women's cricket affairs as the matter is sub-judice, and one-month camp after so-called trials has been called off.

According to the Court's orders dated 22nd April 2003, PWCCA continues to enjoy its legal rights and activities without interference of PCB.

It is important to note that the Pakistan Women's Cricket Control association (PWCCA), registered under Corporate law is a Full Member of the International Women's Cricket Council (IWCC) and is the only governing body to look after the interest of women's cricket in Pakistan and eligible to participate in the forthcoming IWCC Trophy to be played in Holland, July, 2003.
