Andrew Flintoff's blistering form in the one-day international series against Bangladesh, in which he grabbed all three Man-of-the-Match awards, as well as the Man of the Series, has rocketed him up to number one in the world rankings for allrounders.
According to the latest PwC ratings, Flintoff is ranked sixth in the bowling and 20th in the batting, meaning he is comfortably ahead of the nearest challengers, Jacques Kallis and Chris Gayle.
Flintoff scored 177 runs in the three-match series, and the Bangladeshis failed to get him out once. He also took seven wickets for 63 runs at a mean average of nine. After another sparkling performance yesterday at Dhaka, he said: "It was a good win, a professional performance. I've been striking the ball well and I hope that continues in Sri Lanka."
The squad fly to Sri Lanka today and the first of three ODIs is a day-night game at Dambulla on Tuesday, November 18.
