New Zealand A 328 for 4 (Sinclair 107, Marshall 96) beat Sri Lanka A 273 (Silva 89, Kandamby 84) by 55 runs
Scorecard
Mathew Sinclair's breezy 107 propelled New Zealand to their second successive win against Sri Lanka A at Lincoln. Hamish Marshall chipped in with a run-a-ball 96, as New Zealand A posted a massive 328, after being asked to bat in the second one-dayer. Sinclair's 100-run opening stand with Jamie How, who ratled 45 in just 42 balls, got New Zealand A off to a flying start. Sinclair and Marshall then laid the perfect launching pad, adding 103, before Lou Vincent (41 from 35) finished with a bang.
Sri Lanka A were in deep trouble at 64 for 4, but a 149-run partnership between Chamara Silva and Thilana Kandamby got them back into the match. Kandamby clatterred 12 fours and a six in his quickfire 65-ball 84, while Silva was more patient while making his 89. But once both fell in quick succession, Sri Lanka A ran out of steam and fell way short of the target. Bruce Martin, the left-arm spinner, picked up three wickets and polished off the tail.
