Rookie Heal added to WA ING Cup squad

The WA Selectors today named Rockingham-Mandurah off-spinner Aaron Heal as a replacement for Mike Hussey who was named in Australia's VB Series squad this morning.

Hussey replaced Michael Bevan who broke a rib earlier in the VB series. Hussey will make his one-day international debut on Sunday at the WACA Ground when Australia takes on India in a day match that starts at 10.30am.

Heal is a 20-year-old right-arm off-spinner who is yet to make his first-class debut. He is on the Retravision Warriors Rookie List. Heal travelled with the team today.

The top of the table Warriors face the bottom of the table Tasmanian Tigers in an ING Cup match in Launceston on Sunday.

Justin Langer (C), Murray Goodwin (VC), Ryan Campbell, Michael Clark, Kade Harvey, Aaron Heal, Scott Meuleman, Marcus North, Chris Rogers, Luke Ronchi, John Taylor, Darren Wates and Paul Wilson.

Two players will be omitted prior to the match. The Pura Cup team will be finalised on Saturday. The Pura Cup match against Tasmania begins on Wednesday in Hobart.

Sport FM 90.5 will provide ball-by-ball coverage for the entire match.
