The MCC, the body who are responsible for the Laws of Cricket, met last week at Lord's to consider changes in the light of the row at The Oval.
The MCC committee is chaired by former England captain Tony Lewis. "The Oval sequences were followed by us very carefully," he told the Mail on Sunday. "But there was nothing we could do before the hearing. We still have to find out the truth of this matter. We had a good discussion. It would be wrong of me to say we are going to change Law 42 but we discussed it."
The committee will meet again soon to reconsider their discussions in the light of Ranjan Mudagalle's decision.
