Imrul Kayes scored an unbeaten century as Bangladesh A took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the one-day series against England Lions. Kayes' innings helped his side to a six-wicket win in Sylhet.

The Lions' batting underperformed once again in the series with six single-figure scores as they were bowled out in the final over of their innings having lost the toss. Joe Root's 81 was, by some distance, the highest score of the tour and the second half-century.

Without Root's 124-ball innings the Lions would have had no target to defend as they lost 7 for 57 to be bowled out in the last over. Farhad Reza was the pick of the attack, returning 3 for 29, inlcluding the Lions' captain, James Taylor, for one. Taylor has scored 40 runs in four innings in this series.

Bangladesh A were always in control of the chase with Kayes leading from the top. His opening stand of 72 with Nasiruddin Faruque took his side a long way to victory. Naeem Islam made a 48-ball 40 and shared a half-century stand with Kayes as the home side cantered home.

England are terrible, and their youngsters look even worse. Tough times ahead!

This really good to see that our bench strength is getting stronger. A refreshing series win for sure .....

Congrats A team.... it would be more good if there was 4 days match. Lions played also well. Hope Tigers will seal the series 4-1.

Not so good against spin, are they? Long way to go for English cricket in this department.

England are still poor in ODIs, & that doesn't look like that will change very soon. The move to a 50 over domestic comp WILL improve the situation, but I would imagine that will take 2 years to see the benefit! Go the 'Deshis!!!!!

Well done Joe Root nice to see you in the runs however England management need to review how they put a batting line up together. Jos Buttler was left with less than 12 overs to make a difference to the game. As the Lions best batsman on tour it is unacceptable to play him at 6. Think of him like Pietersen and put him in at 4 where he can make a substantial difference to the total.

Very diappointing yet again. They do say you learn more from your defeats but I think England Lions are overdoing the learning or not learning very quickly
