His highest score is 405no v Somerset (1998), he scored a triple hundred (303no) against Hampshire in 1997 and has scored 200 plus on nine other occasions.

Hick has scored 67 centuries in the first innings of matches and 33 in the second.

His century in each innings of the match against Sussex was the third time he has achieved this feat. For Northern Districts, in New Zealand, in 1989 he scored 144 and 132 v Wellington and for Worcestershire, in 1990, scored 252no and 100no against Glamorgan.

His century in 1996, against Durham, completed his "set" against county opposition.
