Fleming on the brink
The Christchurch Press
Black Caps cricket captain Stephen Fleming is poised to claim the New Zealand test record for catches in the final two matches against England. Having taken four catches from two tests in the four-test series so far, Fleming has moved to 69 catches leaving him just two away from equalling Martin Crowe's New Zealand record of 71. Fielding at first slip to the pace bowlers and in close to the slow bowlers, Fleming's safe hands are averaging almost two per game. Crowe's 71 came from 77 tests.
