Steve Lugsden new signing from Durham

22 year old Steve Lugsden has signed a one year contract with Hampshire, having being released by Durham. Lugsden impressed Hampshire captain Robin Smith and coach Malcolm Marshall during Durham's visit to the County Ground last season. Tim Tremlett Hampshire's Director of Cricket said "Lugsden will add some depth to our bowling attack." Lugsden the youngest player ever to appear in first-class cricket for Durham, at 17years, 27 days, has taken 25 first-class wickets.
