Extremely sad to know more and more curators think this way..with the thought of 4 day tests floating around, the last thing world cricket needs is flatter wickets. Traditional pacy wickets like Perth, the Gabba,Barbados,the Oval in London and at times some of the wickets in Pakistan have lost their life and have become flatbeds. And when we have turning tracks like those in Mumbai or Kanpur recently, they come in for criticism from all quarters. It is high time these wickets regained their original character which would help the game go a long way in terms of producing high quality, competitive cricket especially as far as batsmanship is concerned. With heavier and better willows, the least the bowlers deserve is a helpful track.
