It is so easy to make comments like this post match. "England were never going to win".. what a load of garbage. Sri lanka bowled extremely well. But it was more to do with poor English batting. Good to see Mendis doing well again. But it will be a different ball game for him against India or Pakistan. Fielding was below par. They were panicking at one stage and any other in form team would have made Sri Lanka pay. Tharanga's knock was classy. But Dilshan's knock wasn't fluent at the start. England bowlers started pretty well. Spinners turned more than Sri Lankan's and pace bowlers moved the ball off the pitch/air a lot. But Englishmen panicked when they were hit for couple of boundaries. Batsmen were lucky many times. It would have been interesting if Sri Lanka lost few wickets early, especially Sanga and the openers. In such case game would have gone either way. But no way one could have predicted a one sided contest before the match. Russell Arnold, you should have known better

Let's see how they get on this Summer against Broad, Finn Tremlett, Andserson and Swann on ENGLISH pitches in Test matches. Whitewash to England I predict.

Old Russel is bang on the money. NZ cannot dribble its way to a mediocre score of 220 or 230 else Sri Lanka will nurdle them to death when they bat. They won't apple crumble like South Africa. NZ has to go for 280+ and if they get out for 150 then so be it...Hope John Wright listened to Arnold's analysis....
