If you need closer test matches, there are couple of things that can easily be done (if people such as Wessles are really serious, which I doubt): 1. Give better cricket schedules for visiting teams coming from different playing conditions so that they have some time to adjust. 2. Don't prepare totally one sided pitches like this one - give sporting ones where the visiting team used to different conditions have a fair chance. 3. Keep in mind that unlike when England, India or Australia travel, there is no media team supporting small nations such as SL. They are on their own against the cricketing establishment.
