Interesting as always, and some warm and thoughtful comments on Tony Grieg. But CMJ? "he was just a colleague". They have worked together on TMS for the last 20 years, and known one another longer - CMJ has written insightful, but always fair-minded pieces on Boycott over the years, and did not do him any harm that I can see. CMJ may not have been a first-class cricketer, but he was an excellent journalist and commentator. A little more generosity of spirit would not go amiss from Boycott at times. He's the same with current players - he only praises the ones he personally gets along with.
