I'll give you a reason. It isn't good. Clarke hates him and he hates Clarke.

Give me one good reason that Shane Watson is in this team?

I agree as well with these comments. We need Katich, he should never have been left out. I like the aggressive style they want to play but these guys need to establish their ability to occupy the crease, you can't dominate the bowling from the balcony after making a quick 30. It's no good having 11 guys who play shots like it's a one day game. This is test level (barely). The real tragedy here is the poor quality of cricket by both teams in this series so far with the exception of Bell, Anderson and Harris. Agar's debut was great, I wonder how it is for him right now. I loved the 2005 series even though we lost but this is a real disappointment as a cricket fan. If we bowled England out for 50 today we'd still lose by 200 runs.

@coldcoffee123 Totally agree. If you look at Katich's figures in county cricket this season (874 runs at 72.83), it's far and above anything anyone in the current test team is dishing up.

I know Ponting and Hussey have retired and will never play again. But Katich is still making tons of runs. Give me one good reason why he does not deserve to be in the Aussie line up.
