At last some sense prevailing on ECB.

I am not sure It will lead to greater IPL participation by England Cricketers will the ECB allow them to play IPL instead of an International T20 for them unlikely.

Resting players ahead of a winter tour is one thing as they are doing now but at the IPL they wouldn't be resting they would be putting money in someones pocket. Without those player England may struggle to sell out staidums for top dollar as they playing public will catch on pretty quick that neither side will be full strength

At the end of the day England spend a fortune on there "assets" in premium coaching facilities, specialist coaches, physios and analysts to make these guys better players. if the players don't want than they can refuse a contract and play someone like G.Gooch out of their T20 earnings.
