Posted by Venkat Sraman on (November 3,2013) It was a sparkling innings of 209 runs by Rohit Sharma and a breezy knock of 62 by Captain Dhoni in 38 balls enabled India to score a massive total of 383 in 50 overs.Quickfire runs scored by Haddin, Maxwell and Watson and a well compiled century by James Faulknar went in vain in overhauling the huge target set by India.Intelligent short spells bowled by Shami,Bhuvi,Ashwin and Sir Jadeja were mainly responsible for taking regular wickets in the beginning and Jadeja got the terrific breakthrough to get rid of the ninenth Australian wicket partnership in the end to achieve the ultimate success in the match. It was a spectacular end to win the series.
