To lose one wicket is a pretty pleasing effort - Watling

India will have to use their resources. For instance in ODIs Jadeja should have batted up the order at no 5 ahead of rayudu or rahane. I have seen Jadeja plays shot ones and bouncers properly. He can stay in the crease as he shown in 4th odi and also previously.A player with batting avg of 50+ in first class should be well utilised properly. India lost most of the ODIs by falling short of 20-30 runs. And the momentum was upset by the slow batting of Rayudu and Rahane in the middle. Why not Jadeja at no 5 who can stay in the crease and can carry the momentum going.Even if he falls quickly then India will have Dhoni and somebody like Rayudu/Rahane to do the partnership followed by Ashwin.

@Jimmyvida I believe it is unfair to say India's fielding is toothless in terms of world cricket standards. Certainly, they have lost intensity and momentum in both their bowling and fielding departments. I don't believe there is any international side that should be demeaned by fielding. But certainly catches win matches and Kohli dropped a sitter.

I expected Faf to respond to Oz, the same way Mc Cullen & Wattling responded to India ...

but the Mitchell Johnson factor ! Wow he is really better then even Styne RIGHT NOW ....(and only right now) .

MJ has gone into Curtly Ambrose mode ! Like a menacing destroyer !

But as far as going an entire day with losing only 1 wicket .. That is 1 step away from Lara mode, who would go for the ENTIRE day and not lose a single wicket.

Albiet Lara either had Chanderpaul or Adams at the other end, whoe were two of the toughest people to remove.

I think I once remember Adams making 34 in a 200+ runs stand with Lara that took the WI from following on at 50something for 4 to 300 runs in the lead.

BJ, I knew you would make 100. Same thing I said about Du Plessis when India toured SA recently. I say this over and over, if you cannot make runs against India, you are useless. India's fielding is second to none. Is there another team challenging India for that spot. Only SL comes to mind.

Tremendous effort by BMac and Watling... This should have won them the series!
