Partnership
Partnership of the day, Michael Lumb and Naman Ojha, 109 in 9.3 overs
The Punjab score of 153 looked insufficient, but it was not as measly as Michael Lumb and Naman Ojha made it seem. Lumb picked off the spinners with a bunch of sweeps and reverse-sweeps, while showcasing his full range of strokes against the quicks. Ojha played second fiddle, happy to give Lumb much of the strike early on.
Over
Michael Lumb v Rusty Theron, 4th over of Rajasthan Royals innings
The match was effectively over after Lumb caned Theron for 20 runs in this over to take Rajasthan to 55 for 0. A short ball was crashed past point, then a length one was launched over long-on, before a short-arm pull and a flick brought in two more boundaries.
Moment
Warne was at his bewitching best in the previous game, but had no answer to Yuvraj Singh today. First, Yuvraj muscled him over midwicket for a six, and two overs later clobbered two flat sixes and a four to take 24 runs off eight balls against the Rajasthan captain. The Punjab batsman's had long been seen as to be weak against spin, but there was no hint of any troubles against one of the great spinners today.
