9.50am - Good morning and welcome to Grange, Edinburgh with me Callum Stewart, for our ball-by-ball coverage of this Tri-Series ODI between arch rivals Scotland and Ireland. After a disappointing wash out against Sri-Lanka yesterday, the Irish will be eager to get out there and play some cricket, whilst Scotland will be looking to score a victory over Ireland who have been marching ahead of them in recent years at the top of associates cricket.

9.57am - It has been dry overnight and this morning, but there was a lot of heavy rain over the weekend and yesterday. News around the ground is that the pitch has held up OK and the outfield is dry so the game will likely be starting on time. We have some cricket in Scotland for you guys. Everyone has their fingers crossed that the rain in Scotland can stay away for a day (or even two!). That's because tomorrow we have the final match in the tri-series; here's how things line up in Edinburgh.

Yesterday, 11th July - Ireland v Sri-Lanka, abandoned without a ball bowled
Today, 12th July - Scotland v Ireland
Tomorrow, 13th July - Scotland v Sri-Lanka

Tickets are available on the gate and the weather should hold up, it's not often you get to see live international cricket in Scotland. If your near the Edinburgh area get down to come and watch. I spoke to several disappointed Irish yesterday who had made the trip over to come watch their team, so at least they will get one game. If you can't make it here, you have the next best thing - our ball-by-ball commentary!

Adults - £15
Concessions - £7.50

10.12am As always we love your comments, so please do keep them coming in. Are Ireland really too good for Scotland? Should associate countries get higher priority over the English counties? Will you be coming to watch later or are you stuck at work? Both teams are out warming up and we will bring you toss and team news shortly.

10.20am - Scotland have won the toss and will bowl. Here are the teams.

Ireland - WTS Porterfield*, AR Cusack, GH Dockrell, DT Johnston, PR Stirling, AR White, JF Mooney, KJ O'Brien, GC Wilson†, AD Poynter, WB Rankin.

Scotland - GD Drummond*, DF Watts, KJ Coetzer, JH Davey, R Flannigan, G Goudie, RM Haq, S Sharif, CS MacLeod, GI Maiden†, PL Mommsen.

10.31am - Dan e-mailed us; "As a club cricketer in Edinburgh, I was highly dissapointed with the decision to abondon play yesterday in the bright sunshine! Yes it was damp but there was more than enough time for the field to dry and to play a 20/20 for the fans who had taken a day off work or travelled to see some cricket. Exhibited by the members of our club Murrayfield DAFS CC playing a practice game after the Sri Lanka v Ireland game had been called off." Yes Daniel, unfortunately the ICC have many small and rather silly rules which everyone has to abide by, one saying that play has to be finished by 7pm even though the Scottish sun lasts longer, we could have played until 9pm but this is simply not allowed.

10.35am - The stumps are in, the bowlers are marking their run-ups and the crowd are filing in. Play will be under way in ten minutes time.

Here come the players, Porterfield and Stirling to open the batting, Drummond with the ball for the Scots.
