9.20am - Good morning all and welcome to our ball-by-ball commentary of this U19 World Cup Qualifier between Scotland and Ireland with me, Callum Stewart at The Hills CC, Dublin. It's windy and overcast but the sun is trying it's best and the ground is fine so we should be starting on time. Both teams are out here warming up already and both fancy their chances of qualification to the U19 World Cup in Australia 2012.

Ireland are 2-0 and Scotland 1-1, a loss here for either would put a dent in those qualification hopes, not to mention the honour of getting one over on their Celtic rivals.

Namibia and Kenya join Ireland as the only teams to have played two, won two. Check out our bulletin from the second round of matches. The much fancied Afghanistan team lie alongside USA and Vanuatu at the bottom of the table all with two defeats each, and the pressure will be on these teams to get a victory today. Only the top six teams will progress to the World Cup Finals next year.

The Irish finish on 237/6 off their 50 overs, after loosing three early wickets it didn't look great but a superb 96 from Jason van der Merwe and 53 from McBrine brought them back in it. However, they weren't without the help from the Scottish fielders who dropped two golden chances and another couple half-ones, the bowling just wasn't backed up in the field. Coughlan brought a quick fire 36* not out at the end to accelerate the score with McBrine. Sadler was the only real Scottish bowler to do damage with three wickets to show for his efforts.
