The batting order in England (2) is not known, except that the World reports that Clifford came in last and was dropped by Taylor, H Walker (assumed to be an error for J Walker) and James Wells whilst adding 15 with Crawte to win the match.
    • Some sources give the match as Surrey and Kent v Hampshire and Sussex but there are no Sussex men on the losing side. The above title is as in Britcher and SB.
