Asian Cricket Council Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup, 2012/13 / Commentary

09:11 local Hello and welcome to "Internationals Day" at the ACC Womens T20 Asia Cup.

Sri Lanka take on Bangladesh in the first game which starts in 45 minutes. Both the teams are out there in the middle warming-up. Totally different drills but I suppose the expected result is the same.

Finally after two days of hazy weather the sun is out and it's a beautiful Sunday morning here in Guangzhou.

09:27 local Toss time - Both the captains are walking out to the middle along with Match referee Iqbal Sikander. From up here it looks like Siriwardena has called it right...Just waiting for official confirmation.

It's is confirmed, Sri Lanka have won the toss and they will field first.

All regular faces in the Sri Lanka line-up but Bangladesh have included a couple of new faces - Lily Bishwash and Ritu Moni.

One of the rituals before the start of any game is the picking of the match-ball. They all look the same, but all the teams (captain and main bowlers) seem to take ages to choose one. Finally it is down to just look and feel and that does matter, I am told.

09:47 local 13 minutes to start and the ground has now been cleared, just one big open space bathed in sun light and two sets of stumps. Oh and there is the photographer walking round to find a good spot.

9:51 local Sri Lankan girls are in a huddle near the ropes... And here comes the umpires - B Ramani (Malaysia) and SV Sarda (Thailand).
