Scotland v Pakistan / Commentary

10.40am - Couple of themes coming through on the messages. Lots of people feeling a big total in the region of 280-300 for Pakistan, and lots of support from all the associate nations for Scotland for a potential giant killing.

There is no live stream today, but the cameras are here so there will be highlights on the news and online. I am here in sunny Edinburgh watching the game live bringing you every ball straight to your screens. Almost ready to go.

Drummond and Coleman sit out for Scotland, while Asad Ali and Rehman miss the team for Pakistan.

10.30am - Pakistan have won the toss and are batting. The pitch looks good and Pakistan will look to get some good time in the middle and rack up a good total. Scotland will have their work cut out in the field. How many are they going to get?

10.15am - Please do get involved and send us your thoughts by hitting send commentary feedback below. It's a lovely day here in Edinburgh, and there are still tickets available on the gate for anyone looking to watch some cricket today. The last time these two sides played was in June 2006 when Hoffman and Blain led the bowling lines, Ryan Watson scored 80 and Pakistan won by 5 wickets.

Sarman predicts: "I'm hopeful that the match will be interesting, both teams will fight but Pakistan will have too much power.

10.10am. The weather today will make a nice change. This is a big day out for Scotland as they don't get to play full test nations that often. There are some new faces too, in an ODI squad which sees a lot of youth and new talent brought up from the Under-19s and the county 2nd XI's, with Coleman, Machan and Murhpy all looking to make a name for themselves on the big stage.

Pakistan aren't taken this warm-up game too lightly either, and have brought some of the big guns along. Experienced captain Misbah-ul-Haq, superstar keeper Karman Akmal and all 7 feet 1 inches of Mohammad Irfan are included in the squad.

Scotland squad - RD Berrington, NM Carter, KJ Coetzer*, FRJ Coleman, JH Davey, GD Drummond, RM Haq, MM Iqbal, MW Machan, PL Mommsen, D Murphy†, RML Taylor, I Wardlaw.

Pakistan squad - Abdur Rehman, Asad Ali, Asad Shafiq, Ehsan Adil, Imran Farhat, Junaid Khan, Kamran Akmal†, Misbah-ul-Haq*, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Irfan, Nasir Jamshed, Saeed Ajmal, Shoaib Malik, Umar Amin, Wahab Riaz

10.00am - Good morning and welcome to The Grange Club in Edinburgh for this first ODI between Scotland and Pakistan. Callum Stewart here bringing you live coverage of every ball and it's a lovely day here which makes a change from the usual Scottish weather.

Both teams are out warming up, Pakistan doing fielding drills in the lime green training kit and Scotland in the navy blue over at the nets. Pakistan have been enjoying their stay in Scotland and were out training on the ground yesterday. They play Ireland in two ODIs next week before Sri Lanka, South Africa and the champions trophy.

We are awaiting the toss and will be starting on time at 10.45am.

Pakistan are out doing fielding drills already, while the Scots prepare themselves for the run chase. 232 needed to win and Scotland will be giving it their best shot after their bowling has given them a great chance. Misbah led Pakistan through the last 20 overs of that innings, and everyone on the comments are praising his performance. Who's going to be the star of the second innings? Big stage for one of the young Scots to make a name for themselves or are Pakistan too good?
