Asian Cricket Council Twenty20 Cup - Group A

Nepal v Hong Kong

Hong Kong won by 6 wickets (with 21 balls remaining)

Nepal have won the toss and have chosen to bat. Slight dew this morning but the sun is already up, the haze is lifting off the distant hills framing the Tribhuvan University Ground and the crowd is building. Both teams confident of victory, both teams are evenly-matched though of course, Nepal has the home advantage. Match State: Innings Break Good innings from Gyanendra Malla to hold things together for Nepal. Hong Kong no doubt the happier side going in, keeping Nepal to less than a run a ball is a big plus but, the wicket is spin-friendly as Nadeem Ahmed and Karan Shah showed and Nepal today have 1) three front-line spinners 2) 9 excellent fielders 3) immense fighting spirit. Hong Kong to win, will have to bat a little above themselves and much depends on Irfan Ahmed at the top of the order who is evidently in some form as judged by his 39-ball 87 against Malaysia yesterday.
