Kent signed Zimbabwe-born Adam Rouse on a two-year deal for the start of the 2016 season after he had spells at Gloucestershire and Hampshire. He excelled in early season as understudy to Sam Billings, but Billings then returned from IPL and his season hit problems when he required surgery on a finger fractured against Glamorgan. A former England Under-19 international, he had a trial spell with Kent at the start of last season and featured for their second XI in 2014.
