Alexei Kervezee has developed into a good performer with the bat in the middle order and is an outstanding fielder, often found at cover point. He played in the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies for Netherlands aged just 17, one of only five players to have appeared in the tournament at such a young age.

In the same year he was signed by Worcestershire and after initially being used as a one-day specialist, he made his way into the first-class team in 2009, scoring 381 runs in eight matches. But he kicked on in 2010 and enjoyed a superb season, playing every game in the County Championship and made 1,190 runs at 44.07 with three centuries. He added 800 runs in a full season in 2011, when he also played in the World Cup in India but only managed 63 runs in five innings. Kervezee's 2012 was dogged by injury and he only played half a season.

In one-day cricket, he hasn't found much consistency and hasn't kicked on since making a century against Lancashire in 2010.
