Adam Dibble, a right-arm seam bowler from Exeter, played for Devon Under-15s and Under-17s as well as for Sidmouth in the Devon Premier League. His first Somerset appearance came for the second XI in 2008 and a year later he was awarded his first contract at Taunton.
He made his County Championship debut in July 2011 and in his third appearance at the start of the 2012 season, showed his promise with 3 for 42 in the first innings at Edgbaston. But his season was ruined by a knee injury. Worryingly, injury also prevented him playing a first-class match in 2013 but he did reappear in the Yorkshire Bank 40 and claimed a career-best 4 for 52 against Yorkshire at Taunton.
