Division Two
Day 4
A remarkable spell of bowling from Matt Mason took Worcestershire to an unlikely win over Gloucestershire at New Road. Set 228 to win Gloucestershire lost Phil Weston without adding to his overnight 29, before Kadir Ali became the first of eight victims for Mason. Even with the loss of Ian Harvey, Gloucestershire were still reasonably placed at 115 for 5 - but Mason was rampant, taking the last five wickets and finishing with a career-best haul of 8 for 45 to take Worcestershire to a brilliant 58-run victory. Worcestershire are placed second in Division Two on 134 points, 29 points behind the leaders Surrey with a game in hand.
