A wicketkeeper from Sialkot, Shakeel Ansar was called up to the national squad at 33. Ansar has represented five first-class teams since his debut in 1997-98. Despite his modest first-class record as a batsman, Ansar got the attention of the selectors with a Twenty20 century in March 2012, a knock which guided his team Sialkot Stallions to the final. He was included in Pakistan's Twenty20 squad for the tour of Sri Lanka a few months later.
