The third son of the Earl of Coventry, Henry Coventry was in the Eton XI in 1886 and 1887, scoring 119 against Winchester, and like his old brother, Charles, he played for Worcestershire when they were still a Minor County. He was an attacking batsman and good fielder whose two first-class appearances were for MCC against Oxford University in 1888. He represented Eton at rackets.
