Dennis Frank Harris, who died on December 17 at the age of 48, was a well-known Birmingham sportsman who made one appearance for Warwickshire in 1946. A useful batsman and fine fielder, he was in the King Edward's Grammar School, Camp Hill, XI for two years and played for the Birmingham and District League club, Moseley, for over 20 years, helping them to win the league championship in 1938 and captaining them from 1949 to 1951. He played club cricket for Camp Hill Old Edwardians and for the Trojans, a wandering side he founded in 1957. Before the war he was an outstanding Rugby footballer.
