Muriel Lowe was an opening batsman who played all three Tests against Australia in 1937, making 42 in the first and then 43 and 57 in the second. She continued to play until the 1950s. She was not a bad bowler either, and in the 1938 WCA festival took 6 for 15 in one match and 5 for 61 in the next. She founded and ran a travel agency in Winchester.
