Anderson to Gambhir,
silence, says Anderson, to his detractors after luring Gambhir into the cordon. Just back of a length but he got it to jag away massively. The batsman had originally intended to play and then changed his mind, but the ball kissed the hanging, open face and sails through to the keeper.

Broad to Pujara,
his misery ends and it was quite tough to watch really. The stumps are rattled, but they are checking on the no-ball. Almost half his boot is behind the mark. Pujara is absolutely shocked. The bat was slow in coming down, there was enough gap between it and the pad to sneak through. Clips the top flap, then his arm and timber!

Jordan to Kohli,
he's out leaving the ball again! Kohli looks dreadfully disappointed. He was on the back foot, shuffling and the ball has stayed on with the angle in at him. Dharmasena takes a long look and finally raises the finger. Ball tracker says it would have been on-field call, just about kissing off stump

Jordan to Rahane,
pushes in front of his body and offers a sharpish catch back to the bowler! He was going for the drive again and realised the danger perhaps a bit too late. Tried to check his stroke and ends up with another tame dismissal to go with the one at Ageas Bowl

Woakes to Vijay,
and that just about seals things! England's selection has paid off. Vijay's patience runs out. Admittedly this was a pretty good ball, back of a length and straightening to get the outside edge. Root is at gully and he has to dive forward, juggle it, but holds on to it

Anderson to Binny,
no need for another slip! This one goes straight to Cook at first. Full, shaping away, takes a thick outside edge and flies nicely to the captain. That came from some of the highest-quality swing bowling you'll see, regardless of the quality of player it was against
STR Binny c Cook b Anderson 5 (51m 30b 0x4 0x6) SR: 16.66
Woakes to Ashwin,
is this a superb catch? Yes, it is. Root in the gully as Ashwin is squared up and gets a thick outside edge. Root is convinced he has grabbed it low to the turf. Ashwin stands his ground and the umpires went upstairs. We know what can happen here. It does appear, at first look, that his fingers are under the ball. Over to the third umpire. He has a look at a couple of replays...and it's given!
R Ashwin c Root b Woakes 13 (31m 17b 1x4 0x6) SR: 76.47
Jordan to Kumar,
long hop wide of the stumps... and Bhuvnesh has nicked off! Me oh my, this goes from bad to farce for India, that should have been scattering pigeons through backward point but, in throwing the bat for all his might, Bhuvi got the airiest little tickle on the toe, it was clearly audible and Jos Buttler snapped up another
B Kumar c †Buttler b Jordan 5 (12m 11b 1x4 0x6) SR: 45.45
Woakes to Aaron,
back of a length, Aaron turns it off his body... straight back down the track to the bowler! India are nine down and still in double figures, Woakes has his third and England are gleefully playing the deconstruction artists. Aaron didn't have a Sccoby where that was going, finally focusing forlornly on Woakes trotting down to take the catch

Broad to Dhoni,
"played, mate," says Broad with a little clap as the India captain nails a pull.... but it's gone right down long leg's throat! This was banged in on middle and leg, Dhoni had gone inside the line and smacked it but Woakes is there and takes a pretty good catch. Grimaces as his vigil ends, still no century outside the subcontinent but without his hand India would have been nowhere.
