0.4 to AJ Strauss, huge appeal for lbw! GIven not out by Steve Davis. And we have a review in the first over. Front foot is fine. Blimey this looks very close. Hit on the knee roll, playing across his front pad. It's three reds! He'll be gone. Hitting middle and leg.. 0/1
57.2 to IJL Trott, here's a wicket! Full and Trott nicks off it was a lazy drive, coming forward without real purpose just outside the off stump and driving loosely, it's a thin nick through to the keeper where the chance was very simple for de Villiers. Second wicket for Morkel. 170/2
125.1 to MJ Prior, in the corridor, Prior attacks and nicks off! It was perhaps not quite full enough to drive, a good line from Morkel, drawing the batsman out, and there was just a tickle through to the keeper. 383/9
125.5 to JM Anderson, leg side strangle and Morkel has ended the resistance! The bumper was a touch wayward but it was more than capable of discombobulating Anderson, who got an atom or two of glove on the ball as he tried to steer it away from his body. 385/10
2747912.921258007
119.5 to SCJ Broad, Philander strikes, bringing one back to coerce Broad's off-bail out of its groove! Lovely delivery, Broad stayed back and left a gap, probably thinking the length would save him, but the ball ducked in, beat his waft and just clipped the wicket. 358/8
3079923.3013615100
92.4 to AN Cook, gone! Big breakthrough for South Africa, Cook drags into the stumps. Steyn makes his first mark of the series. Was a full delivery outside, Cook shapes to play the drive but doesn't quite get to the pitch and a thick inside edge crashes into the timber. Steyn is pumped.. 271/4
94.4 to RS Bopara, gone! This one is certainly out. Bopara bags a duck on his comeback. A bouncer that is very poorly played by Bopara as he is caught between hooking and leaving and just ends up dangling his bat in the air which feathers an edge to AB de Villiers. 272/5
1973822.00976010
79.4 to KP Pietersen, short again, goes for it again ... and gone! Kallis has winkled out Pietersen - and with the new ball available in the next over! He banged it in, at the body, and KP couldn't resist the hook, attempting to put it in the stand but succeeding only in gloving the ball through to de Villiers. Kallis did well to get a little extra spring from the pitch but Pietersen will be irked to go in that fashion. 251/3
100.4 to IR Bell, gone! He's left it and been bowled. Wonderful set-up by Kallis. After the outswing he brings one back into Bell who shoulders arms and the ball brushes the off bail with just enough force to dislodge it. South Africa initially appeal for lbw before realising it was bowled.. 284/6
1906113.21776002
110.3 to TT Bresnan, dragged it on! Went back to cut and got a huge inside edge into the ground that rebounded onto the leg stump. Not a great delivery but it's found a mistake from Bresnan and just when England were regaining a foothold in the day, South Africa strike again. Not sure what went wrong, he was undone by a lack of pace perhaps? There too soon and through with the stroke too early, producing the big inside edge. 313/7

2.4 to AN Petersen, got him! And this is a beauty, Petersen forward to play around off stump but is done by one that has absolutely wanged in and struck the back pad, looked plumb. There's no review and the decision was pretty quickly made. It was such steep inswing that beat Petersen on the inside edge and Anderson really pumped up, celebrates with a roar. 1/1

87.1 to GC Smith, bowled him! No one saw that coming! It was a length ball from Bresnan, tight to off stump and Smith played the ball into his front leg - via a combination of an inside edge and him closing the bat face - the ball bobbling back and on to the stumps to dislodge the bails. That ends another cracking knock from South Africa's captain. 260/2

17.3 to KP Pietersen, gone! What a blow. Pietersen cleaned up by Morkel, reward for some top-quality fast bowling. Pietersen caught a little on the back foot and basically missed a straight ball, but the short stuff kept him hanging back in the crease. 57/3
1962911.521003001
1.2 to AN Cook, gone! Early strike for South Africa. Lovely delivery from Philander which nips away late from Cook and takes the outside edge. He didn't do much wrong, played the line and was beaten by a quality delivery. 2/1
2165652.661038000
10.2 to IJL Trott, gone! Steyn strikes. Trott falls in similar fashion to the first innings as he feels outside off stump against one that moves away a little. 32/2
44.4 to RS Bopara, gone! Five to go for South Africa. Bopara drags on a short wide ball outside off stump, he went to play it through the off side but it takes a bottom edge into middle stump. 117/5
82.2 to IR Bell, caught at slip! And Steyn has taken two balls to strike with the new ball, taken by Kallis at second slip. Bell probably should have left it but decided to try and guide it away but the extra pace of the new ball means the guided stroke went straight to Kallis who claimed a very easy chance. Poor stroke from Bell but after all that great work, England cannot be disappointed with his effort today, another marvellous rearguard action. 210/7
84.1 to SCJ Broad, short and down leg side, loud appeal but not out given, it's reviewed straight away, and the initial replay suggests glove, there is a noise, Hot Spot is inconclusive, is there enough evidence to overturn Asad Rauf? Apparently so and Broad is gone. He did look guilty, South Africa were convinced, the noises matched up and the glove was away from the body so the noise was surely glove, even if Hot Spot couldn't prove it. 210/8
86.5 to GP Swann, caught in the covers and Steyn has five! What a performance with this new ball. Nothing special about this really, a length ball that Swann, not getting forward well enough, has chipped to cover, very simply chance for the fielder. 218/9
3276331.961624006
26.5 to AJ Strauss, got him! And the England captain goes. Huge wicket for the tourists, Strauss trying to sweep and getting a big top edge to square leg. It was always going to be dangerous with the bounce Tahir was getting but Strauss thought he had to try and get after Tahir and perished trying to be positive. 67/4
76.6 to MJ Prior, sweeps, nicks it and caught at first slip! For a moment it looked as if Prior would hang around - Asad Rauf seemed to be smiling, waiting - then the batsman shook his head and walked. Prior just couldn't curb those attacking instincts, went at one that spun and bounced, with Jacques Kallis clinging on above his head. 203/6
96.6 to JM Anderson, oh here we go, that's out lbw! Turn and it keeps so low, goes under the bat of Anderson and pins him right smack in front, it's reviewed and in fact only umpires call on hitting him in line but going on to hit middle stump. 240/10
