K Thimmappiah played ten matches for Karnataka (then Mysore) between 1940-51, scoring 403 runs at 23.71. He became Mysore's first centurion when he made 127 against Tamil Nadu on January 2, 1942. Thimmappiah was president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association between 1990-98. He died in Bangalore aged 92.
