Profile

Gary Outram is a free-flowing stroke-maker who impressed the North West selectors greatly with a classy, but gritty 34 for the NWCB against England in 2000. He is an excellent field hockey and squash player which he played both at junior provincial level for Western Transvaal (now North West). He completed his schooling at Potchefstroom Boys High in 1994 and was in the same school class as Easterns batsman, George Myburgh; Zimbabwean cyclist Warren Carne and SA Olympic middle-distance runner Hezekiel Sepeng.
