The Hon. Rupert Anson, who played occasionally for Middlesex, died at Blandford St. Mary, Dorset, on December 20, aged 77. A son of the third Earl of Lichfield, he was in the Harrow XIs of 1907 and 1908, and appeared for Middlesex between 1910 and 1914. He was a Past President of Harrow Wanderers.
